Baku (IP) - The Islamic Republic of Iran says it has no limitation to shore up ties and cooperation with the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Iran PressAsia: The Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani told the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev that Iran's priority was to shore up ties with the neighboring countries, including the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Admiral Shamkhani stressed Iran's decisiveness in confronting those actors who sought to deteriorate the relations between the region's countries and noted that they must not allow any factor to divide the neighboring countries.

President Aliyev for his part said that Tehran-Baku relations were progressing without being affected by those states that did not want friendly relations between the two countries to continue.

The Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) arrived in Baku, the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and was welcomed by his Azerbaijani counterpart Ramil Idris Oglu Usubov.

The relations between Tehran and Baku are progressing seriously based on the firm will of the leaders of the two countries without being influenced by the pressure of countries that do not want friendly relations.
