Iran Press/ Iran News: Jeyhun Bayramov, the Foreign minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan arrived in Tehran on Monday and was welcomed by his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Compound.
This is the first trip of Azerbaijan's top diplomat to Tehran since Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi took office.
Receiving the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan's Republic Ceyhun Bayramov today, Monday, July 4, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf stressed the focus on the economic cooperation between Iran and Azerbaijan and noted that the agreements reached so far between the two countries should be implemented as soon as possible.
Ghalibaf highlighted the current situation of the region and called on the countries of the Caucasus region to move toward peace, stressing that anything that would disrupt the security of the region must be countered.
He said that the presence of the Israeli regime anywhere in any region was followed by insecurity, and pointed out to the Azerbaijani FM that Iran was sensitive to its security and the presence of the Israeli regime in the region.
Ceyhun Bayramov for his part said that the policy of Iran was based on peace and friendship with all countries including its neighbors.
He emphasized that the Republic of Azerbaijan would never allow any third country at any time to act against Iran within the soil of Azerbaijan. 219
