With four months to go for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the matches will be played in eight magnificent stadiums, and they all have something interesting about them.

Iran PressMiddle East: It was December 2, 2010, when Qatar won the bid to host the coveted FIFA World Cup 2022™. Since then, Qatar has been only working towards delivering impeccable infrastructure for the most awaited football tournament.

Let's have a look at these stadiums:

Stadium 974

Stadium 974 has been officially unveiled and will host its first match on November 30. Located close to Doha port, directly opposite the spectacular West Bay skyline, the Stadium's innovative design is inspired by Qatar's worldwide trade and seafaring. It will be the first demountable tournament venue in FIFA World CupTM history, with 40,000- a capacity arena made from shipping containers and modular steel.

Al Bayt Stadium

Al Bayt Stadium, 35km north of Doha, Al Khor, will host nine 2022 World Cup 2022 matches, including the tournament's opening match, on November 21, 2022. The Stadium can accommodate 60,000 and is constructed in the form of a Bedouin tent. Al Khor's ability to bring cultures together made it a natural choice to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.

Lusail Stadium

The exact shape of Lusail Stadium is based upon the bowls, vessels, and art pieces used across the Middle East for centuries. This location, 15 km north of the center of Doha, will host the grand finale of the World Cup. It has an arena with a seating capacity of 80,000 people and a subdued gold facade that will eventually evoke images of weathered metalwork.

Khalifa International Stadium

Build-in 1976 in Al Rayyan, the only venue before Qatar was awarded the World Cup. It is a multi-purpose stadium, often referred to as 'National Stadium,' with 40,000- a seated arena.

 

Education City Stadium

The Stadium will host one of the quarterfinals, a vibrant center for knowledge and innovation with 40,000 seats. Fans can reach here either by road or metro. The façade features triangles that form complex geometrical patterns like diamonds, which change color as the sun moves across the sky. At night, the façade puts on a vibrant light display, which makes it even more striking.

Al Thumama Stadium

Al Thumama Stadium, with a capacity of 40,000, is 12kms south of Doha's glittering skyline and close to the city's Hamad International Airport, Al Thumama Stadium with 40,000- ability; it will host matches leading up to and including the quarterfinals of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM. The round shape of the stadiums is reminiscent of the Gahfiya, a woven headgear worn by men and boys throughout West Asia.

Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium

The Stadium, known as the "gateway to the desert," has a 40,000-seat arena situated on the edge of the desert. . Its most fantastic feature is a glowing façade comprised of patterns that characterize distinct aspects of the country. Twilight brings another dimension to the scene as several nearby buildings light up with a glimmer, welcoming visitors from far. The Stadium is surrounded by a large shopping center, easily accessible to the fans.

Al Janoub Stadium

The 40,000-seat Stadium in the southern city of Al Wakrah was built using design cues from traditional fishing and pearl diving boats. As fans approach the Stadium, they will be greeted by beautiful parkland and the arena's graceful architecture.

The Qatar World Championships will be held from November 21 to December 18, 2022, in the Middle East for the first time.
