Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian visited Rome to talk with Italian and Vatican officials to discuss expanding bilateral relations in the meeting.

Iran PressIran news: While expressing his interest in the exchange of technology and goods between Iran and Italy, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran called the current situation an opportunity for both sides to expand trade exchanges and urged for the activation of the private sectors of the two countries to deepen economic and trade cooperation.

Regarding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action known as (JCPOA), Amir Abdollahian stated: "We seriously looking for a good and stable agreement; We believe that Iran should be able to take full economic benefit from the JCPOA. America must understand the fact and guarantee it. In this regard, Iran has always presented its new initiatives; However, the Americans have not acted correctly and rationally."

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy, Luigi Di Maio, also stated that Italian companies are interested in continuing their economic activities in Iran.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy, expressing his hope in reaching an agreement between Iran and 5+1, emphasized that the relations between the two countries should be inclusive and not limited to a specific sector such as energy.
