Tehran (IP) - The Spokesman of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI) says the 20% enriched product obtained from IR4 machines has been earlier reported to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Iran PressIran news: Behrouz Kamalvandi, the Spokesman of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, said the AEOI also reported about its IR6 machines to the IAEA and that nothing was left unmentioned about the enrichment activities and went on: "Western media used to report such issues about Iran's nuclear activities in several phases including the installation, launching, and obtaining, something that must be released all in one news report."

The advanced IR6 machine has been launched in Fordo facility with 5% uranium being injected into it and 20% product obtained; he explained and pointed out: "According to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), each of the machines can enter the [enrichment] cycle in a certain time, but due to the other party's lack of commitment - based on paragraphs 26 and 36 of the agreement - this right is preserved for Iran."

The spokesman of AEOI also noted that monitoring Iran's nuclear activities were carried out on three levels, namely, safeguard, protocol, based on the JCPOA, saying out of the three steps, Iran allowed only the supervision of the IAEA on the relevant substances.

Iran's international nuclear agreement or Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was signed between the country and P5+1 countries (Russia, China, UK, Germany, France, and the U.S.) in 2015. Still, the US scrapped it on May 18, 2018, re-imposing more sanctions on Iran.
