Tehran (IP) - The president of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the phone call with his Syrian counterpart, stressed Iran's support for the establishment of peace and stability and said Tehran would oppose any foreign intervention in Syria.

Iran PressIran News: While pointing out the need to implement the previous agreements between the two countries, President Ebrahim Raisi described the visit of Syrian President Bashar Assad to Tehran as a success, and emphasized: "Good agreements were reached during this trip, the implementation of which should be followed seriously.”

On Saturday evening, Raisi had a phone call with Assad, during which he congratulated the government and nation of the friendly and brotherly Syria on the arrival of Eid al-Adha, and said: "I hope that the Almighty bestows His mercy and blessings on the Muslim nations with the blessing of this Eid, especially the resistant nations of Iran and Syria.”

Raisi stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran's support for the axis of resistance, especially Syria, will continue, stating: "Iran supports the establishment of peace and stability in Syria and opposes any foreign intervention in the country.”

In this telephone conversation, Bashar Assad, the President of Syria, congratulated the President, government and people of Iran on the arrival of Eid al-Adha, and asked Raisi to convey his most sincere congratulations and best wishes to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

The President of Syria stated that "our enemies are getting weaker not year-by-year, but day-by-day against the axis of resistance, and said, "Iran and Syria are in a single stronghold and I hope we will celebrate next year's Eid while the nations of Iran and Syria witness increasing domestic and foreign successes.”
