Iran Press/ Iran news: Hamid Nouri, an Iranian citizen, was arrested by Swedish security forces on November 9, 2019, upon his arrival in Sweden to settle his family disputes and has been in prison for nearly 32 months.
Vice-President of the Judiciary for International Affairs and Secretary of the I.R. of Iran's High Council for Human Rights Kazem Gharibabadi, in a meeting with Hamid Nouri's son, explained the actions that have been taken so far at various levels in Iran, especially the judiciary and Iran's High Council for Human Rights, to follow up on Nouri's case.
Gharibabadi referred to the process of his mock trial called the arrest of Nouri arbitrary and the court unlawful.

He went on to call the violation of Mr. Nouri's human rights by the Swedish government during the past 32 months when he was kept in solitary confinement a stain on the European country's human rights record and emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran will make every effort to set him free.
Secretary of the I.R of Iran's High Council for Human Rights praised Mr. Nouri's principled positions against all the pressures and atrocities against him and added: "He turned the limited time that this illegal court gave him into an opportunity to reveal the true nature of the terrorist group of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization( MKO)."
Gharibabadi considered the protection and defense of Iranian nationals wherever they are in the world to be the inherent duty of the Islamic system and said that we would use our maximum efforts in this case as well.
