In a message to Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran expressed his condolences on the death of Shinzo Abe, the former Prime Minister of this country, in a terrorist incident.

In two posts in Persian and Japanese on his Twitter account on Friday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian extended his condolences to the people and government of Japan.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iranian top diplomat said: "We condemn the assassination of former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe and offer condolences to the friendly people and government of Japan over his departure."

He added that the precious services of Mr. Abe, as a prominent politician, including the expansion of ties between the people of Japan and Iran, will not be forgotten. 219
