Tehran (IP) - Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the assassination of the former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Iran PressIran News: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Naser Kanani, said Iran, as a country which has been the victim of terrorism, we are concerned and  follow closely the news on the assassination of the former prime minister of Japan.

Iran embassy in Tokyo also condemned the assassination of Abe.

Abe was shot during a campaign speech in the western city of Nara on Friday.

According to Kyodo News Agency, the former Japanese prime minister is unconscious and in cardiac arrest.
