Iran Press/ Africa: The Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran and the Prime Minister of Uganda met and discussed the developing cooperation between the two countries, especially in economic fields.
According to the Iran Press news agency, citing Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "Mahdi Safari," the Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, who has visited Uganda, met with the Prime Minister of the country, Robinah Nabbanja, the two sides exchanged views and agreements were also made regarding the cancellation of restrictions on the entry of Iranian medicine and medical equipment into Uganda, Iran's Veterinary Research Group sent to Uganda to provide animal vaccines, bio-technology, nano-technology, and IT cooperation, agricultural development, supply of chemical materials needed by Uganda.
According to the report, the Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, during his trip to the Ugandan capital of Kampala, met and talked with the President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, on Wednesday evening.
Sending greetings to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the President of Uganda, mentioned his four previous visits to Iran and said that he has hosted three earlier presidents of Iran and is ready to host Ebrahim Raisi, the president of the current government of Iran.
The Vice President of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran and the President of Uganda also emphasized the expansion of economic, political, and international cooperation between the two countries as well as holding a cooperation commission, exporting medicine, medical equipment, nano and biotechnology products, IT and orthopedic equipment to Uganda, banking cooperation, sending a medical research group from Iran to Uganda to investigate how to cooperate in the field of livestock diseases, purchase of agricultural products, cooperation in the field of oil and energy, production of electric motorcycles and tractors in Uganda, and exchanged views on joint investment in areas of interest.
