Iraq (IP) - The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament stressed the diplomatic activities to shore up Iraq-Iran bilateral relations.

Iran PressMiddle East: Iranian Ambassador, Mohammad-Kazem Ale Sadegh, and speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Mohammad al-Halbousi, had a meeting due to the cultural, political, and religious commonalities in Baghdad. The relations between Iraq and Iran have recently been on the agenda of the two countries' authorities.

During the meeting, Mohammad al-Halbousi wished success to Ale Sadegh and emphasized the need for diplomatic cooperation to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. 

Al-Halbousi and Ale Sadegh also discussed at the meeting the bilateral relations between Iran and Iraq and the development of cooperation in various fields in line with the interests of the two neighboring nations. 

The political developments of the regional countries were another topic of discussion between the two authorities.
