Tehran (IP) - In a meeting with the foreign minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Iran's president said improving relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan will lead to effective regional cooperation.

Iran PressIran News: Ebrahim Raisi, in his meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, emphasized the expansion of relations and cooperation in commercial, economic, and political fields and the need to create new openings in Tehran-Baku relations.

Pointing out that Iran has no limits for deepening and strengthening relations with the Republic of Azerbaijan, the president added that boosting bilateral ties can lead to effective regional cooperation.

Raisi also added: "Strengthening the relations and interactions between the citizens of the two countries will strengthen the friendship between the two nations."

He expressed hope that with the visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Tehran, we will witness a leap in the relations between the two countries.

Republic of Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also stated that the volume of trade between Iran and Republic of Azerbaijan has increased significantly in the last year and also in the first five months of this year.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan also noted that Tehran and Baku believe that the regional challenges should be solved by the countries of the region themselves without the interference of outsiders.
