President has reiterated that Iran could share its technological and knowledge-based achievements with other D-8 countries.

Iran PressIran news: Ebrahim Raisi was speaking on Monday in a meeting with Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam, the Secretary-General of the D-8 Organisation for Economic Cooperation.

Raisi emphasized the policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in cooperation with regional, international, and world organizations, adding, "There is a lot of potential in the D-8 countries to increase trade and transit of goods, which has been neglected”.

Referring to the knowledge-based achievements of young Iranians in the country’s science and technology parks, the President said, "Iran can share its technological and knowledge-based achievements with other D-8 countries".

Stressing the necessity to increase trade exchanges between the members of the D-8 group, Raisi stated, "The members of this organization should try to increase trade exchanges between member countries while activating their capacities”.

"The United States does not want developing countries to grow, and it is interested in these countries being dependent on the system of domination in any way," Raisi said.

For his part, Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam described Iran as one of the active members of the organization and said, "Two important institutions of the D-8 are located in Tehran and Hamedan”.

Abdulqadir Imam described the consideration of population capacity for the member countries of the D-8 and the increase of trade exchanges between the members as two important management approaches during his tenure.
