Foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Wednesday said US president Donald Trump has isolated himself even more after his speech at the UN General Assembly (UNGA).

Iran Press/Irannews: mohammad Javad Zarif in his latest tweet on Wednesday wrote: "Once again, the U.S. abused the UNSC only to find itself further isolated in its violation of #JCPOA and SC resolution 2231. When will it learn its lesson?"

Zarif's tweet was a reaction to Trumps opening speech at UN meeting on non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Facing determined opposition from allies over US efforts to isolate Iran, Donald Trump said  on Wednesday that his administration will soon go beyond previous sanctions regimes by imposing the "toughest" financial penalties ever designed.
