New Delhi (IP) – Iranian para-cyclists bagged a gold and a silver medal in the 4,000 meters Team Pursuit category at Asian Track Cycling Championships 2022 in New Delhi, India.

Iran PressAsia: Mehdi Mohammadi and Behrouz Farzad, the two Iranian athletes, reached the final match of the 4,000 meters Team Pursuit category race on Sunday.

Mehdi Mohammadi grabbed the gold medal, and Behrouz Farzad came in second and snatched the silver medal.

Farzad had also claimed a gold medal yesterday in the 1,000m category, scoring a record of 1:16:920.

Para cyclists from 18 countries are participating in the competitions.

The Asian Track Cycling Championships 2022 is underway at the Indoor Cycling Velodrome at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in New Delhi from June 18 to 22.

The winners will qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
