Shiraz (IP) - Bamou National Park in southern Iran is the third protected zone after Golestan National Park and Urmia National Park in the north and northwest Iran.

Iran PressIran News: Bamou National Park has an area of ​​about 50,000 hectares and is one of the four natural zones in Fars province, southern Iran. There are various rare plant and animal species in the park.

Leopards, deer, hogs, rams, goats, and birds like the Golden Eagle live in Bamou National Park.

The park's vegetation has created a suitable environment for the population of gazelles, rams, ewes, and goats.

Other types of animals include panthers, wolves, hyenas, forest cats, jackals, and foxes. There are birds such as partridge, dull-yellow partridge, and golden eagle.

Majid Khanbazi, an expert at the park, told IranPress that the Bamou National Park has 100% vegetation and more than 300 species of global plants.

Khanbazi also said that the area's vegetation is considered a biosphere reserve, and people from different parts of the world come to study plant and animal species.

Also, 32 species of mammals, 91 species of reptiles, and three species of amphibians were identified in Bamou.

This park is one of the places of interest for tourists, especially Arab tourists around the Persian Gulf.

A Wildlife Museum is also located at the entrance to the park and displays a collection of Taxidermied native species.
