Tashkent (IP) - The Secretary of the Iranian High Council for Fight against Money-Laundering and the Head of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service stressed more cooperation against money laundering.

Iran PressAsia: Iran and Russia have put the development of comprehensive cooperation on their agenda, including collaboration to strengthen the infrastructures, financial resources, and investment for neutralizing the sanctions on the two countries.

On the sidelines of the 33rd meeting of the Eurasian group on combating money laundering and financing of terrorism (EAG) held in Tashkent, Iran's Hadi Khani and Russia's Yuri Chikhanchin, the Russian side called on more cooperation in managing the sanction imposed on the two countries.

Chikhanchin said the Europe and US sanctions on Moscow brought the situation in Iran and Russia closer together and that it was essential for the two sides to share their experiences in developing the technical infrastructure of the fight against money laundering.

He invited the Iranian official to visit Russia to expand the cooperation in the field. The Secretary of Iran's High Council for Fight against Money-Laundering, Hadi Khani, for his part, welcomed the Russian side's initiative and emphasized shoring up cooperation.
