Iran Press/ Iran News: The U.S. and the E3 (UK, France, Germany) wrote a resolution draft for the IAEA Board of Governors, in which they claimed that there were nuclear sites in Iran not announced to the agency, and Iran failed to U.N. watchdog questions.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in a phone call on Friday with E.U. foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell, talked about the latest issues, including the Vienna Talks, removal of anti-Iran sanctions, and matters of mutual interest between Iran and the E.U.
Iranian FM once again clarified Iran's readiness to reach a good deal in the Vienna talks based on constructive negotiations.
Amir-Abdollahian pointed to the recent E3 and U.S. hostile acts for imposing a resolution against Iran in the upcoming IAEA Board of Governors meeting and stressed the move would only make the talks over Iran's nuclear program complex more complicated.
Undiplomatic, hasty, and unconstructive
Amir-Abdollahian says that the west's approach to preparing the draft resolution at IAEA against Iran is an undiplomatic, hasty, and unconstructive behavior.
Iran will show an "Effective" and "immediate response"
Iran FM warned that Iran would show an "immediate response" to any move against it by the United States and European countries at the U.N. nuclear watchdog IAEA.
"Any political action by the United States and the three European countries in the agency (IAEA) will undoubtedly be met with a proportionate, effective and immediate response from Iran," Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said.
Grossi's trip to Israel conflicts with the IAEA nature of impartiality
Amir-Abdollahian further spoke about the destructive moves by the Zionist regime, which itself is the main culprit in the world when it comes to illegal nuclear activities.
Iran FM said that Rafael Grossi, IAEA head's visit to Israel as Iran's arch-enemy, conflicts with the agency's impartiality.
The United States, France, Britain, and Germany are pushing for the U.N. nuclear watchdog's Board of Governors to condemn what they claim that Iran failed to answer IAEA questions.
Iran's foreign minister referred to the determination of the Islamic Republic to reach a good, strong, and lasting deal.
He also thanked Borrell for his efforts and reiterated Iran's readiness and resolve to continue the talks until they pay off in a realistic way that would be agreed upon by all sides.
Iran's international nuclear agreement, or the so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), was signed between the country and P5+1 countries (Russia, China, UK, Germany, France, and the U.S.) in 2015. Still, the U.S. scrapped it on May 18, 2018, re-imposing more sanctions on Iran.
The eighth round of Vienna talks on lifting U.S. sanctions against Iran resumed on February 8 in the Austrian capital after an 11-day break for consultations between the delegations and their capitals in the presence of the Iranian and P4+1 delegations (Germany, France, Britain, Russia, and China). It has been held in various levels and formats since then.
Since March, talks have been on hold as Washington insists on its refusal to undo its past wrongs through measures such as removing Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) from its foreign terrorist organization list.
