Tehran (IP)- Iran exported one million tons of steel products, the largest share of which is the exports of iron ingot, according to the latest statistics by the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).

Iran PressIran news: The report puts Iran’s exports of steel ingots (slab, bloom, and billet) at 633,000 tons in a month, which shows a 74% increase compared to 366,000 tons of exports ingots in the last year’s corresponding period.

The report also added that Iran neither exported nor imported sponge iron during the period under review.

Iran’s exports of long bars of steel hit 157,000 tons in the period posting a 34% decline year-on-year as the country had exported some 238,000 tons of these products in the same period last year.

The country also exported some 27,000 tons of flat bars in a month, which shows a 4% decrease compared to last year’s corresponding period (26,000 tons).
