IP- The head of the Deputy Minister of Natural Environment and Biodiversity of the Environmental Protection Organization said the possibility of the fertility of the Iranian cheetah was still high.

Iran PressIran News: The Asiatic Cheetah, or in other words, the Iranian cheetah, which was also known for its beauty and gracefulness, is an extremely endangered species. So far, only a few of these animals remain in Iran.

The press conference on the opportunities and challenges of reproduction of endangered species in captivity was held on Sunday, at the Environment Organization, chaired by the Deputy Minister of Natural Environment and Biodiversity of the Environmental Protection Organization.

According to Iran Press News Agency, Hassan Akbari pointed out in the meeting: "There is a possibility of the fertility of cheetahs in captivity and we should hope for this."

Akbari added: "The condition of the third puppy is much better than the first days, but we still cannot give a definite opinion on what will happen."

He stressed: "Cub mortality is common everywhere in the world and the success rate of puppies is low."
