Tehran (IP) - Referring to his meeting with the new President of the United Arab Emirates, the Iranian Foreign Minister described the warm relations between the neighbors as a source of frustration for the region's enemies.

Iran PressIran News: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian tweeted on Tuesday morning: "A new page has been opened in the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the UAE. We warmly shake hands with our neighbors. "The warmth of neighborly relations disappoints the enemies of the region."

Foreign Minister Amir- Abdollahian, who traveled to Abu Dhabi to offer his condolences on the pass away of the late UAE president, met with new UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed on Monday to discuss common issues.

Some of the topics of interest and common issues, such as resolving the problem of Iranians living in the UAE and facilitating their affairs, are the focus of Amir- Abdollahian's talks with the new president of the UAE.

Following the departure of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, the UAE Federal Supreme Council on Saturday elected Mohammed bin Zayed as President of the United Arab Emirates.
