(IP)- The Robert Koch Institute announced that the COVID-19 index on Saturday, 14 May was 477.0 in Germany.

According to the Robert Koch Institute, the nationwide seven-day incidence continues to fall. On Saturday morning, the value is given as 477.0. The day before, the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week was 485.7 (previous week: 544.0; last month: 1015.7).

This figure demonstrates new infections by the coronavirus in every 100,000 people within a week.  

The RKI has counted 25,723,697 proven infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections go undetected.
