Tehran (IP) - The first field health course in accidents and disasters was held in Iran.

Iran PressIran News: In this regard, Dr. Taghizadeh in charge of launching this course stated that in this field course, students and graduates from different parts of the country and other countries practiced skills related to disaster management in a fully operational and field manner.

This course, which was held for a week from May 7 to May 13 in Qom, Kashan, Isfahan, and Shiraz by the School of Health of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, could improve the practical skills of participants by improving the practical skills of crisis management training.

The methods and educational processes used in this course were designed and implemented based on the latest international methods. Due to the multi-sectoral approach to disaster management, an attempt was made to cover a wide range of related issues, including the design and establishment of emergency accommodation camps, field hospitals, environmental health management, hospital communications, navigation, and geographic information, and casualty management.

The vision of this course for the coming years is to hold the course internationally with the support of related organizations providing humanitarian services. This course was designed and implemented by the Accident and Disaster Health Department of Tehran, Kashan, Isfahan, Shiraz Universities of Medical Sciences, and with the cooperation of the Red Crescent Societies of Qom, Isfahan, and Fars provinces and Iran Relief and Rescue organizations and the Fars Province Emergency Organization.
