Tehran (IP) - The second edition of Iran's Top Stem Cell and Hematopoietic Research Festival code-named 'Professor Ardeshir Ghavamzadeh Award' was held at Shariati Hospital, Tehran.

Iran PressIran news: Ramin Sarami, director of the Motamed Cancer Research Institute, emphasized the development of technology in Iran and said: "Technology is a major strategic need and we should invest more in human resources such as Dr. Ghavamzadeh."

He pointed to the remarkable progress of bone marrow transplantation and said: "There should be more focus in this area."

During the program, prominent professors and geniuses in the field of medicine (Marzieh Ebrahimi, Strategic Director of Research and Technology of Royan Research Institute, Mahdi Farokhi, Head of Cell Bank Department of Pasteur Institute of Iran, Alireza Bigleri, the member of the Faculty of Tehran University and the Full Professor of Medical Genetics Department) delivered their reports in the presence of Professor Ghavamzadeh.

The second edition of the Iranian Stem Cell and Hematopoietic Research Festival 'Professor Ardeshir Ghavamzadeh Award' was organized by the Iranian Hematology and Oncology Association in collaboration with the Jihad University Cancer Research Institute and Shariati Hospital of Tehran University of Medical Sciences on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Dr. Shariati Hospital.

One of the interesting aspects of this program was that in the end, the students of this great genius celebrated his birthday.
