Tehran (IP)- Referring to Iran and Belgium's good areas and capacities to improve the level of interaction, the Iranian President said, "We welcome the efforts to strengthen and expand relations between Tehran and Brussels."

Iran PressIran News: In response to the phone call of the Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo on Wednesday noon, Ebrahim Raisi said that the two countries had developed their diplomatic relations based on the principles of mutual respect and mutual benefit, saying, "The Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes efforts to strengthen and expand relations between Tehran and Brussels."

Referring to the good areas and capacities in the two countries to improve interaction, the President added, "The implementation of potential capacities in bilateral relations can also be a good ground for increasing cooperation between the two countries."

Noting the long and positive history of relations between the two countries and describing these relations as necessary for Belgium, the Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo expressed hope that expanding ties and interactions with the Islamic Republic would be facilitated by officials of the two countries.

The Belgian Prime Minister said, "We seek to strengthen bilateral relations with Iran, especially in the economic and consular fields."
