Tehran (IP) - Iran's Deputy Health Minister for Health Affairs says aging and reduction of the population are important concerns of the Ministry of Health.

Iran PressIran news: Kamal Heidary said at a ceremony on Tuesday that the ministry of health will help the growth of the country's population by treating infertility and providing the necessary infrastructure and support for student marriages. 

Also, the Deputy Minister of Health for Treatment talked in the ceremony about a 5-year plan including facilitative measures to increase population, encompassing home, education, and livelihood, among other issues. 

He emphasized: "One of the serious concerns is that the rate of population growth and childbearing is low, this year the Ministry of Health has paid special attention to this issue and the National Population Headquarters has put this issue on its agenda."

Regarding the facilities to encourage families to have children, he said: "The Family Protection Law provides programs and facilities to support young couples, which are supported based on the extensive test of families who do not have wealth."
