Iran Press/ Middle East: Israeli settlers attacked Al-Aqsa Mosque on Thursday on the occasion of the anniversary of the occupation of Palestine.
Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasim stressed on Thursday that the current struggle of the defenders of Al-Aqsa Mosque showed great bravery against the Zionist aggressors that thwarts the plans of the occupiers, the Palestine Al-Youm news website noted.
He added in his tweet the panic and confusion of the Israeli regime are evidence of its defeat in the battle of will against the Palestinian people and their resistance.
Hamas spokesman has stressed that the Al-Aqsa Mosque belongs to Muslims, Arabs and Palestinians and will remain so.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement also stressed today the support of the resistance and its weapons to the defenders of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Tariq Salmi, the spokesman for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, said in a press conference: "The presence of Palestinians in Al-Aqsa Mosque guarantees the prevention of its division, and this presence guarantees the protection of this mosque against the danger of Judaization."
He added: "The presence of Palestinians in Al-Aqsa Mosque is supported by the resistance and its legitimate weapon."
The spokesman of the Islamic Jihad movement also greeted all the men and women who defended Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is the first fortress against the Israeli regime's plan to divide the mosque.

Dozens of Zionist settlers attacked Al-Aqsa Mosque this morning in several groups at the invitation of settler groups on the so-called "Independence Day" anniversary.
Palestinian sources in the city of Al-Quds said today that the occupying forces in Al-Quds surrounded and attacked the Palestinian worshipers defending Al-Aqsa Mosque in the "prayer hall" of the mosque and then shot at them, during which a number of Palestinian worshipers were injured.
The sources added: "Dozens of Palestinian defenders were injured by tear gas during clashes with Israeli forces, and the Zionist military also fired sound bombs at worshipers."
Occupying forces closed the doors of the Al-Aqsa Mosque completely.
According to these sources, the Israeli troops also detained a young Palestinian in the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Mosque and took him to an unknown location.
