Reuters reported on Thursday night that two horrific explosions were heard in the Russian city of Belgorod near the Ukrainian border.

Iran PressEurope: An air defense system went off in the Belgorod region near the border with Ukraine. According to RIA Novosti, at about 17:40 a loud explosion was heard, and then a smoky trail became visible.

Eyewitnesses claim that this is the second such case today. Several explosions were also heard in the south of Belgorod at night.

The authorities of the region have previously reported shelling from Ukraine. On the eve of April 27, the governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov spoke about the fire at the ammunition depot near the village of Staraya Nelidovka.
