IP- Iranian newspaper Tehran Times will launch an online event titled Remember Palestine to promote awareness of the plight of Palestinians whose land has been under the Israeli occupation since WWII.

Iran PressIran News: On the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, by the initiative of the Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, people across the world show united support for the oppressed people of Palestine to be the voice of the voiceless people of Palestine.

The announcement of the plan to launch the online event comes nearly three weeks ahead of Nakba Day, also known as the Day of Catastrophe, which is marked worldwide on May 15, when the Israeli regime was installed on the land of Palestine.

The event is divided into two categories, each having its sub-categories, including posters, cartoons, video comments, and blogging, which would-be participants should be posted.

The topics of the event are Palestine’s history, Palestinian intifadas (uprisings against the Zionist regime’s occupation), human rights in Palestine (the Israeli regime’s atrocities against Palestinians, especially women and children), the role of the international community in the Palestinian crisis (the deafening silence of the global community on the plight of Palestinians), and memoirs, namely, people’s memories of the Palestinian resistance in written form.
