Tehran (IP) - The Director-General of the Arab and African Office of the Trade Development Organization of Iran announced a 107% increase in Iran's exports to Africa.

Iran PressIran News: Farzad Piltan, Director General of the Arab and African Office of the Trade Development Organization of Iran, said: "Iran's exports to Africa two years ago were about 579 million dollars, which increased by 107 percent to 1195 million dollars last year, and therefore we saw a record-breaking export of the country to Africa compared to previous years."

Piltan said about Iran's major export partners to Africa: "Ghana in the first place, South Africa in second place, Nigeria in third place, Mozambique in fourth place, Kenya in fifth place, Sudan in sixth place, Algeria in Seventh, Tanzania, Somalia, and Ethiopia are next."

"Export items include iron ingots, steel products, urea, liquid butane, liquid propane, flooring, and some building materials," Piltan said.

According to Piltan, Iran's imports from Africa last year were about $ 60 million, with imports from Tanzania, Ghana, Ethiopia, South Africa, and Kenya.
