Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking on Monday on the occasion of the National Army Day, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf said that it has been proven in action that the army, in the true sense of the word, has sacrificed itself for the nation.
The open session of the Parliament kicked off on Monday, April 18, 2022, chaired by Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, Parliament Speaker.
In his pre-session speech, Ghalibaf congratulated the National Army Day, adding: "The slogan of the army expresses the existence and dynamic presence of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the love and affection of the zealous army for Iran and Iranians."
Referring to the presence of the army when duty calls in all fields, Ghalibaf said: "The army has always been a source of hope and encouragement for the people in all incidents, including war, floods and earthquakes, and anything that endangers the security and peace of the people. The army has literally sacrificed itself for the nation."
The Parliamentarians each applauded and hailed the National Army Day.
Islamic Republic of Iran Army Day is a national holiday of Iran, celebrated annually on April 18.
