Iran (IP) - The Commander of Iran's Border Guards reported the dismantling of 3 arms smuggling gangs within the country's western borders.

Iran PressIran news: Brigadier General Ahmad-Ali Goodarzi said after the police carried out the intelligence and controlling operations in the western borders of Iran, they managed to dismantle three arms smuggling gangs within separate operations. 

Fifty-four pistols were seized, besides many ammunition and other weapons.

Earlier on March 14, Iran's Ministry of Intelligence stated in a statement on Monday that six armed terrorists who had entered Iran to assassinate several foreign nationals working on infrastructure projects in Sistan and Baluchestan Province were identified and arrested by Iranian security forces.
