Parliament to reviw regulation of cyberspace services

Tehran (IP) - In the Parliament closed session on Monday, it was agreed that the plan for the regulation of cyberspace services be reviewed in the open chamber.

Iran PressIran news:  During Parliament's closed session this morning (April 11, 2022,) it was agreed that the plan for the regulation of cyberspace services in the Islamic Republic of Iran be reviewed by 290 lawmakers in the open chamber of the Parliament.

It was agreed that a joint commission reviews the plan beforhand.

The first closed session of the Parliament in the new year of 1401 was chaired today by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the speaker of Iran's consultative assembly.

During Parliament's closed session this morning, lawmakers discussed the subject of reviewing the plan for the regulation of cyberspace services in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The meeting was aimed at reviewing  the plan to protect Iranian users in cyberspace."

In August 2021, the members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly decided that the review of the "plan for the protection of users in cyberspace" following Article 85 of the Constitution should be entrusted to a special commission.

According to the Lawmakers present at the closed session, the protection plan will be reviewed by 290 lawmakers in the open chamber from now on instead of being considered by a joint commission.

Examine the conflict of interest management bill in the performance of legal duties as a matter of urgency.

In today's session, the parliamentarians agreed with 175 votes in favor, 11 against, and five abstentions from a total of 218 parliamentarians present at the meeting to urgently review the bill on managing conflicts of interest in performing legal duties and providing public services.
