Tehran (IP) – Iranian foreign minister says releasing Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and Anusheh Ashuri has nothing to do with the payment of UK debt to Iran.

Iran PressIran News: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stated on Wednesday: "Before the victory of Iran's Islamic Revolution, we demanded more than 390 million pounds for some defense purchases from Britain, which we received a few days ago."

The Iranian foreign minister underlined that releasing Nazanin Zaghari and Anusheh Ashuri had nothing to do with the payment of UK debt to Iran.

Nazanin Zaghari, who was arrested for spying for Britain in Iran, was transferred to Imam Khomeini International Airport, and handed over to the British team on Wednesday.
