Iran Press/ Iran News: The head of the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to international organizations based in Vienna, Mohammad Reza Ghaebi, while speaking at a meeting of the Board of Governors on the implementation of safeguards in the Islamic Republic of Iran, explained the political stance of Iran.
Emphasizing that Iran, as a responsible member of the NPT, is committed to and will continue to fulfill its obligations under the Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement (CSA), He added: "The Director General's report reflects the progress made in dealing with safeguards issues that have already been reported to the Board of Governors, and this progress is the result of constructive mutual cooperation between Iran and the IAEA."
Ghaebi, the joint statement issued between Iran and the IAEA on March 5, 2022 shows Iran's respect for the IAEA procedures, regulations and professional work, as well as Iran's determination to cooperate with the IAEA.
He added: "In this direction, the agency must observe the principles of professionalism, neutrality and political independence."
In this regard, he stressed: "We expect that after the report of the Director-General, the members of the Board of Governors will take appropriate measures to support the termination of these issues on the agenda of the Board of Governors."
