The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday night that several Ukrainian fighter jets, helicopters and UAVs, as well as radar and missile defense systems were targeted and destroyed.

Iran PressEurope: In a statement, Russia's Defense Ministry said that four Ukrainian Sukhoi-27 fighter jets, one Mil Mi-8 helicopter and a Bayraktar drone were shot down in the area around Zhytomyr, Sputnik news agency reported.

The Russian Defense Ministry also announced that it had destroyed five radar stations and two Buk-M1 missile systems.

Meanwhile, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said: "At 6 pm on Saturday, Russian forces resumed to advance in the area of operations after Kyiv refused to put pressure on the nationalist armed forces to comply with the ceasefire."

Russian state television also reported on Saturday evening that Russian forces had reached the outskirts of the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.

On February 24, Russia formally declared a special military operation against Ukraine, noting that its operation in Ukraine is not a start to the war, but an attempt to prevent a global war.

But many countries around the world, including Europe and the United States, immediately condemned Russia's move as a war against Ukraine and began to increase their diplomatic and economic pressure on Russia. 219
