Tehran (IP) - Spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said that the issues between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) during the talks in Tehran are expected to be fully discussed and the way of cooperation in the future to be fully determined.

Iran PressIran News: "Negotiations between Iran and the IAEA will start in a few minutes," said Behrouz Kamalvandi, Spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI).

Kamalvandi went on to say: "The IAEA Director-General Rafael Mariano Grossi's visit to Tehran is a one-day visit, and he is leaving Tehran for Vienna this evening after meeting with Iranian officials.

Director-General Rafael Mariano Grossi arrived in Tehran on Saturday morning and met with the Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Mohammad Eslami.

He is scheduled to meet with the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian this afternoon.

"I'm traveling to Tehran today for meetings with Iranian officials tomorrow to address outstanding questions in Iran. This is a critical time but a positive outcome for everyone is possible," Grossi tweeted to Tehran before the travel.

"Director-General Rafael Mariano Grossi will travel to Tehran for meetings with senior Iranian officials on Saturday. They will discuss outstanding safeguard issues with a view to address them," the IAEA said in a statement on Thursday, March 3, 2022.

The eighth round of talks between Iran and the P4+1 to lift US sanctions is taking place in Vienna at the same time as Grossi's visit to Tehran. Some diplomats announce much progress, and others say that the talks are almost over.

The eighth round of talks on the removal of anti-Iranian sanctions resumed on Dec. 27 in the Austrian capital of Vienna. Representatives from China, France, Russia, Britain plus Germany as well as Iran negotiate in Vienna to bring the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) back on track.

"Yesterday marked the 11th month since the Vienna Talks started. A long and grueling marathon. Now it is almost over," Mikhail Ulyanov, Permanent Representative of Russia to International Organizations in Vienna, tweeted.
