Iran Press/ Iran News: As one of the oldest in the world, leather production in Iran dates back thousands of years. Ancient artifacts show Iranians used leather to make shoes, clothes, and weapons at the height of the Bronze Age in the 15th century B-C.
Khavaran Leather Corporation has more than 8,000 meters of infrastructure and a nominal daily capacity of 30,000 square feet of leather production.
This production unit has a crucial role in introducing high-quality natural leather of Iran to the world by producing and exporting its products to different countries.
In an interview with Iran Press in Tabriz about the number of exports and activities of the company, the CEO of Khavaran Leather Corporation, Massoud Bonabian, said: "The company's export share in the last Iranian year has been 1,200,000 dollars, mostly to Turkey, Italy, Spain, Russia, and other European and Asian countries."
He noted that exporting has become very difficult due to the sanctions, and some internal problems have added to this difficulty.
