Muscat (IP) - Iran took part in the 26th edition of Muscat International Book Fair after a one-year rescission due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Iran PressMiddle East: The inauguration ceremony of the international event was held in the Omani capital on Thursday with the participation of the Omani Crown Prince Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said and a group of other foreign and national guests.  

The first Muscat book fair was set up in 1992. To date, and with the 26th edition opened, there has been an upward trend in terms of the number of countries, publishers, cultural programs, audience reception, and the exhibition space in terms of size.

The 26th edition of the exhibition hosts 715 participants from various countries, including Iran, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Jordan.

Iran's Book House is present in the international event, introducing the Iranian Publishing Industry and Tehran International Book Fair among other cultural activities.
