Al-Quds (IP): Thousands of Palestinians prayed at the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday amid increasing tensions created after Zionist settlers' attacks on Palestinians supported by Israeli forces.

Iran PressMiddle East: The Palestinians have been launching a campaign called "Al-Fajr Al-Azim" for months, according to which they are widely present in the Al-Aqsa mosque, and while performing Itikaaf (Spiritual retreat) inside it, they offer morning prayers there.

According to the Palestinian Information Center on Friday, despite the Israeli forces and settlers preventing the Palestinian people from attending the Al-Aqsa Mosque, a religious and political Friday prayer was held in the Al-Aqsa Mosque with a large attendance of thousands of Palestinians.

The Zionist regime police stationed a large number of their forces in the occupied city of al-Quds, especially the old part of Quds and the neighborhoods of Bab al-Amoud and Sheikh Jarrah, fearing any clashes in occupied Al-Quds after Friday prayers.

As the main symbol of the Islamic and Palestinian identity of the city of Al-Quds, Al-Aqsa Mosque has always been the target of the destructive actions of the occupying regime in Al-Quds.
