Tehran(IP): Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council said that no negotiations would be done outside the scope of the nuclear agreement (JCPOA) with the ill-fated United States and inactive Europe.

Iran PressIran News: Ali Shamkhani, the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, tweeted on Wednesday at the same time as the talks were underway  in Vienna to lift US sanctions against Iran, saying that the JCPOA has now become an empty shell for Iran in the economic field and the lifting of sanctions.

He went on to stress that the United States and Europe failed in the test of fulfilling their obligations under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Earlier, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, in a tweet, called truth, testing and providing guarantees an integral part of a good agreement, adding: "Proven US disloyalty is the most important threat to any agreement."

The eighth round of sanctions talks began in Vienna on December 27 and has resumed in Vienna on February 8, 2022, after a short break to consult delegations in their capitals.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian also tweeted about his talks with EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell, calling the talks in Vienna as moving forward, while making the final agreement conditional on "responsible behavior" on the part of the West.

Recent moves and news from Vienna show that all negotiators are waiting for a US political decision, and that a future can only be imagined for the Vienna talks if Washington makes the necessary decisions, especially in the area of lifting sanctions.
