The Foreign Minister of the Republic of Ireland will travel to Tehran tomorrow, Monday, at the head of a diplomatic delegation.

Iran PressIran News: During his visit to Tehran, the Irish Foreign Minister is scheduled to meet with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian at the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Amir-Abdullahian and Simon Coveney met last September on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly in New York to discuss bilateral cooperation, the JCPOA, and the situation in Afghanistan.

The Foreign Minister of the Republic of Ireland had announced during that meeting the final stages of the reopening of the Irish Embassy in Tehran were underway.

Today, Saina McGuinness, the Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland in Tehran, presented a copy of his credentials to the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran. 219
