Tehran (IP) - The 40th edition of the Fajr Film Festival was wrapped up with 'Nemour', produced by Yaser Jafari.

Iran PressIran News: Established in 1982, Fajr Film Festival is held every year from February 1 to 11 to commemorate the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. 

Twenty-two films, made mainly by the new generation of Iranian filmmakers, are competing in the festival.

The director of 'Nemour', Davood Bidel said that the theme of his work was self-sacrifice which was gradually revealed by the main role of the film. 

Nemour is a melodrama written by Nooshin Meraji and is considered the second movie work of Bidel as a director.  

With Nemour being screened, the Iranian Fajr Film Festival ended its 40th edition on Thursday, February 10, 2022. 

The closing ceremony of the national event was held at Milad Tower in Tehran, Iran's capital.
