Iran Press/ Middle East: Cooperation with neighbors is a priority of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and in this context, the pursuit of ways to expand bilateral cooperation has been considered by the Iranian authorities and its neighbors.
Paying attention to the substantial economic potential of neighboring countries and proximate geography and cultural, linguistic, and religious commonalities has put Iran and its neighbors on the path to expanding cooperation.
Meanwhile, Oman is one of the trusted neighboring countries and parties to dialogue and exchange with Iran on various issues.
With its vast water border with the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, Iran is the only country with the best communication route with the countries of the north that have no sea. Oman is also Iran's closest southern neighbor in the waters of the Persian Gulf, which has common cultural and religious roots with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to Iran Press, at the 19th meeting of the Iran-Oman Joint Commission, which started on Tuesday, chaired by the Ministers of Industry and Trade of Iran and Oman, the two sides signed a roadmap for economic cooperation in various financial and trade fields, trade agreements in the areas of standards, customs, transportation, banking, healthcare, sports, education and culture, and tourism development.
Also, at the closing ceremony, the outcome of the negotiations of the 19th meeting of the Joint Commission for Cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Sultanate of Oman was signed by the Ministers of Industry and Trade of Iran and Oman.
Iran's Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade Seyed Reza Fatemi Amin arrived in Muscat on Tuesday at the head of a large trade delegation.
During the meetings, the two sides stressed the need to strengthen and grow economic and trade relations between the two countries in line with political ties.
"Strengthening relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran is of particular importance to Oman," said Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al-Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers in the Sultanate of Oman, during a meeting with Seyyed Reza Fatemi Amin today.
