Tehran (IP)- In a phone call with the Japanese Prime Minister, Iran's president emphasized using all capacities to develop and strengthen trade and economic relations between the two countries.

Iran PressIran news: "The trade between the two countries is under the expectations, and I believe that a huge breakthrough can be achieved in Tehran-Tokyo relations," Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi, said.

"Iran is ready to increase the level of its relations and cooperation with other countries, including Japan, beyond the nuclear agreement and based on mutual interests," Raisi said.

The President called foreign troops the leading cause of insecurity in the region and stressed the need to resolve the Yemeni crisis through Yemeni-Yemeni talks.

Raisi also stressed the release of Iran's frozen assets in Japan.

"Japan has always supported the nuclear deal and Iran's role in regional peace and stability," said Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio noted for his part.
