Tehran (IP) – Iran's foreign minister, in a phone call with his Australian counterpart, Referring to the capacities of relations, announced Iran's readiness to expand cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including trade, investment, and scientific exchanges.

Iran Press/Iran News: In a phone conversation with Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne on Tuesday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian also congratulated the Australian foreign minister, Government, and people on Australia's National Day, describing the half-century history of friendly relations and the presence of the educated Iranian community in Australia as the joint capital of the two countries.

Iranian foreign minister called on Australia to pay special attention to the rights of Iranians living in the country, particularly to the consular status of some Iranian nationals who are facing difficulties in Australia.

Referring to Iran's role in the fight against terrorism and explaining the influential role of Martyr Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani, the Iranian foreign minister called for Australia to deal responsibly with active members of terrorist groups in Australia.

The Australian foreign minister, for her part, announced Australia's support for the Vienna talks.
