Tehran (IP) - Iran and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) have signed a memorandum of understanding on coastal geological hazards.

Iran PressIran news: The memorandum of understanding on coastal geological hazards was signed in Tehran by Behrouz Abtahi, director of the National Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences of Iran, Razieh Lak, director of the Earth Sciences Research Institute of the Geological Survey of Iran, and Hamid Nazari, UNESCO Chairholder in the Coastal Geo-Hazard Analysis.

The two sides agreed to cooperate in the fields of education, research and technology.

Sharing hardware and support facilities, exchanging faculty members and specialists for research and teaching, and exchanging professors for study opportunities, providing facilities for professors to attend seminars, and collaborating in holding joint scientific workshops and exhibitions, and research and technology are some of the provisions of this memorandum.

This memorandum of understanding has been concluded in 12 clauses in both English and Persian for four years.
