Iran Press/ Middle East: During the meeting, Sayyid Badr conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik along with his best wishes for good health and happiness to President Al Assad, and for the progress of the friendly Syrian people. The Syrian President, in turn, asked Sayyid Badr to convey his sincere greetings and best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan and to the Omani people for their welfare and continuous prosperity.
The meeting reviewed relations between the two countries. It also laid emphasis on the joint keenness to develop these relations and back endeavors to restore regional security and stability.
The meeting was attended by Faisal Mekdad, Syrian Foreign Minister; Sayyid Turki Mahmoud Al Busaidi, Oman’s Ambassador to Syria, and the delegation accompanying the Foreign Minister. 219
