Tehran (IP) - Through a phone call, Iran's Foreign Minister consulted with his Azerbaijani counterpart over the operationalization of the agreements signed between the two sides.

Iran PressIran news: In the telephone conversation on Friday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian expressed hope that the Joint Consular Commission meeting would be held in Baku soon. 

Amir-Abdollahian called for facilitating and speeding up the issuance of visas between the two countries, especially for Iranian students and businessmen.

The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Republic Ceyhun Bayramov, for his part, reported about the holding of the Economic Joint Commission and said efforts were being made to hold the meeting on the due time.

Bayramov welcomed his Iranian counterpart's offer to hold the Joint Consular Commission.

Foreign minister Amir-Abdollahian conveyed the Iranian President's inviting the President of Azerbaijan Republic to visit Iran.
