Tehran (IP) - More than 200 parliamentarians released a statement to condemn the Israeli regime's crimes.

Iran PressIran news: Home to some two million Palestinians, Gaza Strip has been under tight Israeli blockade since June 2007, which has resulted in a decline in living standards and unprecedented levels of unemployment and unrelenting poverty.

In the latest campaign of Israeli bombardment against the coastal enclave, at least 260 Palestinians, including over 60 children, were killed in a period of 11 days that began on May 10 last year.

Members of the Iranian parliament, in a statement on Wednesday, stressed the complete liberation of the Palestinian land.

"Since the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been a supporter of the resistance and the heroic and resilient people of Palestine," read the statement.

"The lawmakers, while praising that great and historical epic, are confident that the Muslim and heroic nation of Palestine will continue this holy struggle until the end of the final victory," it added.

"All freedom seekers of the world will support the righteous combat against the global hegemony and the world of humanity will soon see the final victory and the decline of the racist Zionist regime," the Iranian lawmakers' statement concluded.
